Little-Known Ways to Make a Room Feel Much Larger
Whether it is a bedroom, living room, dining room or study, we have brought together some of our favourite ways to make a room feel more spacious.
Use light
Light tones on ceilings, walls and floors can work wonders when opening up a space. Choose light greys and whites, or if you want to introduce colour, pastel pinks and blues can be a good direction.
Make use of hidden storage
There is something genuinely satisfying about choosing a piece of furniture that can serve more than one purpose.
Control clutter
No one enjoys clutter. When arranging a room, choose one stronger piece of furniture rather than a large number of small objects. Furniture with visible legs and clearance from the floor can also help a room appear larger.
Mirror, mirror...
Using mirrors on the walls can create the illusion of a larger space while also increasing the amount of natural light reflected through the room.
